Expense reports, for the people who have to file them
Made by someone who has to file an expense report every week. And hated it.
Expense Horizon keeps the receipt, the miles and the report in one place. Scan the receipt and the fields fill themselves in. Tap the stops you drove and the miles add up. On Friday the report is already laid out, in the Excel your accountant asked for, with a PDF of every receipt behind it.

Why this exists
I am required to track my expenses. I used to loathe it.
A note from the person who built it, and who still files a report in it every week.
My employer makes me file an expense report every week, and I hated every part of it: receipts in three places, a mileage log I reconstructed on Friday, a spreadsheet filled in cell by cell.
So we built the one I wanted to use. I scan the receipt and it classifies it; most days I do not change a thing. My regular stops are saved, so the day's mileage is a tap per stop. When the report is due, it is already laid out. It brought some joy back to a job I dreaded.
Two ways in, one week out
Some people snap every receipt the moment they get it. Some people show up on Friday with a pile.
Both land on the same week, in the same workspace, on the same report. Pick the one that matches how your team actually works, or mix them: the app does not mind.
On the go
As you go
Every receipt, the moment you get it. Phone in hand, on the job.

- Camera from the home screen; straightened, cropped and read on the spot.
- Vendor, date, amount, category and address suggested. Check, save.
- Emailed receipts forward to your private address and wait on the week.
On Friday
Bulk upload
A week of receipts, all at once, on Friday. Photos, PDFs, the lot.

- Drop the whole stack; split PDFs, combine loose pages.
- Every receipt read and listed for review, then added together.
- Auto-file dial for the confident reads, with one-tap Undo.
Either way, the week is done.
Your spreadsheet or ours
The books expect one specific workbook. Keep it, or take ours.
The weekly Excel is built from an expense report template. Whose template is up to you; the reports page has the detail.
Yours
Bring your own workbook
The spreadsheet your accountant already expects, one cell per number. Hand it to us and we map it.

Honest about setup
It takes a little setup. All of it is set once, and all of it is fixable.
Every expense app asks for some. Here is exactly what, who does it, and what happens if it is wrong.
01
Set once.
The workbook your accountant expects (or the house one), the mileage rate, your home address and the places you go, and who approves. That is the list.
02
Not your job.
We set it up with you when the workspace is created, or whoever runs your books can. It is a short conversation, not a project.
03
Fixable.
Wrong category? Change it on the expense. Wrong cell in the workbook? We re-map it. A signed week with a late receipt? Amend it; the record keeps both. Nothing is lost.
Who it is for
Built for the people who actually file the report.
The team on the road, the owner with the Friday pile, the one-person shop, and the accountant on the other end. Same app, four different Fridays.
01
Business development at treatment programs
The team out visiting hospitals, clinics, sober-living homes and courts all week. Receipts and miles happen in the car; Friday is the report.

Accountants and bookkeepers
What arrives is a signed week in the workbook you already use, with a PDF of every receipt behind it.
